well looks like tfw2005 posted the latest update & photos of the accessories. it seems that the items focus more on weapon / trailer hook for animated prime, henkei rodimus & titanium war within ultra magnus. meaning that its a weapon that doubles as a trailer hook which enables the figures to attach to a btstoys trailer...such a disappointment. i was really hoping for more weapons for henkei/classic figures. guess i'll skip this one and hope for a better set weapons to be made. click me to check the site.

tfw2005 just posted in their website that 3rd party producer bts toys (click me to go to site), the ones that offered trailers for classic / henkei prime & nemesis prime is producing new weapons for transformers classic / henkei figures (click me to go to site). from the looks of the images provided they are still in prototype stage and doesn't say for who there weapons are. however it looks nice and i hope the final product will be superb & in terms of design, quality & price. classic rodimus had the honors to model the prototype weapons...luck bot

ehobby d-22 black starscream

today i'm gonna blog about another rare & exclusive piece that i managed to acquire that will stay misb - the ehobby d-22 black starscream. this figure was released in 2001 together with ghost starscream, the transparent version of the figure. being a starscream figure as well as an ehobby exclusive made this item highly sought after by fans especially g1 fans. the downside is its high price and limited availability.

there's not much difference between this figure and the normal figure other than the repaint. the colour scheme is loosely based on the 1997 machine wars starscream which was also black except for the addition of gold colour. articulations is still limited to the shoulders and you still need to piece together the parts aside from simple transformation to form the robot or the f-15 fighter. basically its a normal diaclone based g1 starscream in black and gold.

i don't intend to get the clear version of this figure because i have something more interesting in mind...but that's another story

beachcomber on malaysian soil

i would've never guessed that i would meet beachcomber in malaysia...well not actually the beachcomber, but close enough. i found this baby in front of a workshop in putra damai, sri rampai. notice how it resembles closely to beachcomber's alternate mode, especially the colour. this is the first time i've seen a dune buggy for real. even though it looks a little bit out of shape
but it still looks nice & sharp...wonder if it transforms

this time a little review on henkei 18 & 19, their very own minibots. minibots refers to a group of autobots that are smaller than normal transformers such as bumblebee, gears & powerglide. these are & currently the only set of legend class transformers for the henkei line. there were numerous minibots release over the years such as takara book reissue #12 which features bumblebee, huffer, powerglide, cosmos, warpath and gears.

this time around takara released two packs of minibots with 3 figures each - cliffjumper, beachcomber & brawn (henkei 18) and wheelie, cosmos & warpath (henkei 19). in the universe version cliffjumper is replaced with bumblebee. what makes this version of minibots unique is that wheelie is included with a better mold design. while the vehicle mode takes on a modern look the robot mode closely resembles the animated cartoon. in fact all the featured minibots received an upgrade in terms of design for both modes.

being legend class the transformation is very easy & simple, only 1 @ 2 twists is required to change modes. no accessory is included, no rubber tires and except for cosmos there are little @ no diecast parts. articulation is also limited to up & down movements of the arms & legs.

i'm actually very happy with this set as i haven't had any g1 minibots before and i like the new design given to the characters. they not only look very g1 like but modern and fresh compared to their 80's version.
