this time a little review on henkei 18 & 19, their very own minibots. minibots refers to a group of autobots that are smaller than normal transformers such as bumblebee, gears & powerglide. these are & currently the only set of legend class transformers for the henkei line. there were numerous minibots release over the years such as takara book reissue #12 which features bumblebee, huffer, powerglide, cosmos, warpath and gears.

this time around takara released two packs of minibots with 3 figures each - cliffjumper, beachcomber & brawn (henkei 18) and wheelie, cosmos & warpath (henkei 19). in the universe version cliffjumper is replaced with bumblebee. what makes this version of minibots unique is that wheelie is included with a better mold design. while the vehicle mode takes on a modern look the robot mode closely resembles the animated cartoon. in fact all the featured minibots received an upgrade in terms of design for both modes.

being legend class the transformation is very easy & simple, only 1 @ 2 twists is required to change modes. no accessory is included, no rubber tires and except for cosmos there are little @ no diecast parts. articulation is also limited to up & down movements of the arms & legs.

i'm actually very happy with this set as i haven't had any g1 minibots before and i like the new design given to the characters. they not only look very g1 like but modern and fresh compared to their 80's version.

Excellent haul bro!!! Tho I wish Takara wld produce these in the same scale of the rest of the deluxe Henkei! i desperately need Brawn, Cliffjumper & Cosmos for my lineup!
tq...it would have been nice if they made them deluxe class but i'm still happy with the current class
